Company branding signwriting is very previlant within London. The branding is often already designed or established rather than the signwriter coming up with a drawn bespoke design like in the past. Traditional Signs of London are able to paint whatever branding desired to varying surfaces & in a large array of sizing.

.
Crosstown Doughnuts, who are a company expanding & having more outlets all the time, wished for their new look branding to be written onto their outlet fascia within the iconic Greenwich Market. The fascias within the market are actually masonry & not the usual wood or metal.
.
The company supplied their branding for the retail outlet & Traditional signs were contgracted to paint the branding onto the outlet’s fascia by re-sizing the branding to suit the size of the fascia & then paint the lettering onto the surface.
The company had painted out the previous wording that was in place on the fascia & wished for the new company branding signwriting to be added over the top.
.

.
The outlet address was painted first in the top left corner of the fascia. Then the main company branding signwriting was positioned into the ideal area of the fascia & enured was perfectly straight before it was reliefed onto the painted masonry.
The wording is then seen in an outline form in a chalk so that the signwriter can apply the signwriting with confidence all the lettering is to the ideal position & thickness per letter etc.
.

.
.
The surface made for slightly more labour intensive work, as textured surface is harder to get lettering totally neat & crisp, so extra time & care is taken to ensure the painted company branding signwriting is produced precise as possible. This includes giving the lettering a 2nd coat of paint if needed to give full opacity to the letters.
.
.

.
Being able to paint onto these types of surface however gives a traditional signwriter an advantage over graphics printed or produced in vinyl as it gives that authentic appeal still. Many companies appreciate this & certainly within London, but appears to becoming a trend outside of London too.
.
.
The last stage is to clean the fascia of dirt & more importantly the marking out in the chalk. A wet cloth is best for this. Once this has dried the signwriting is completed & the company branding is painted as the desired.
