Office signs produced internally on a partition wall by specialist sign writer Traditional Signs of London.
The client had requested the artwork and supplied a digital visual. From this Traditional Signs of London is able to create a physical paper artwork to take to site and use as a template for painting the branding to the wall at the requested scale and with acurate placement.

There were a few amendments to the design before production.
Once defined artwork is digitally produced using the measurements taken of the wall, and then produced as a pounce pattern on paper.

.
The paper pounce pattern is taken to site, where the wall is re-measured and marked out for the placement of the artwork. Its ensured its laid onto the fascia level, upright and centred.
Once all measured and positioned the pattern/artwork is then reliefed onto the wall using powder, so it is ready for the office signs sign writing phase.

Specialist brushes and paints are used to produce the painted office signs.
Usually a specialist sign writing enamel is used, which is oil based and has lower viscosity. In this instance due to being internal water based paint is used and the use of tape in order to get crisp lines, as this is very difficult if painting with water based paints. the oil based paints allow for a far better flow from the brush and create crisp edges without the requirement of tape.
Using the specialist brushes, and expert skill, the letters are painted one at a time, built up in a series of strokes.
.
.
.
.
The greatest of care is taken to paint precise lines even especially when using water based paint.
On this project it wasn’t too bad, so the letters could be painted at a fair pace, which only a professional sign writer can work at.
.
.
.
.
The final piece of the work is to clean of the markings which were made when levelling and measuring out the artwork and the reliefed powder which was a guide for where to paint.
The clients were pleased with the work produced by Traditional Signs of London and have built up a good relationship for future work.
