Residential Entrance Lettering for a Chelsea Residence

 

A bespoke residential lettering scheme completed for a private residence on Hollywood Road, Chelsea SW10. The commission included the hand painted property number and street name on the painted timber entrance architrave, together with matching garage lettering, creating a refined and consistent appearance across the property’s entrance.

Project Brief

Commissioned as part of a programme of refurbishment, the lettering was completed to an approved specification supplied through the building contractor. A classical Roman serif typeface was used throughout to maintain consistent proportions, spacing and placement across each element of the scheme.

Traditional Residential Lettering

The property number, street name and garage identification were hand painted using specialist oil-based signwriting enamel onto the prepared white gloss timber surfaces. Careful setting out and brushwork ensured crisp lettering that integrated naturally with the entrance architecture and adjoining garage.
