Gold Leaf Fanlight Numbering for a Late Victorian Townhouse
Traditional 23ct gold leaf fanlight numbering completed for the entrance of a late Victorian terraced townhouse on Bouverie Road, Stoke Newington. The property number was hand gilded onto the transom glass using traditional oil gilding techniques, creating elegant entrance identification proportioned to complement the scale of the glazing.
Project Brief
The entrance required refined property numbering that remained sympathetic to the proportions of the original fanlight. The number was carefully sized and positioned before being hand produced in a traditional Roman serif typeface using genuine 23ct gold leaf.

Traditional Reverse Glass Gilding
The numbering was completed using traditional oil gilding techniques before receiving a protective varnish backing to provide long-term durability. The subtle matt gold finish offers elegant property identification while preserving the character of the entrance glazing.
