Project Brief

The project involved hand painted exterior house numbering for a three-storey terraced property on Walton Street in SW3, close to Sloane Square and bordering both South Kensington and Knightsbridge. The property featured a traditional stucco masonry façade with iron railings and external entrance steps leading to the lower ground level, typical of many period London residential buildings.

The client selected a bespoke numbering style, with alternative layout visuals and spacing options prepared during the planning stage to refine the final proportion, positioning, and overall balance of the design in relation to the surrounding entrance detailing and architectural setting.

The numbering was painted entirely by hand using traditional signwriting brushes and specialist exterior paints selected for durability, opacity, and crisp edge definition on stucco masonry surfaces.
